Abstract

This paper sets to identify the fundamental laws which preside over the very phenomenon of musical composition and his aesthetic conception, initially investigating how, in general and in our consciousness, do occur the synthesis and objective representation of the perceived and experienced musically, especially in regard to musical analysis. In the meantime, we have focused on a more specific discussion about the intent of a composer in his work: the way that this is manifested both in its origin (ie, as embodied by the composer, like he understand and express it), as in their interpretation (the way that it is perceived by another person, mediately or immediately, ie, with or without prior preparation or technical knowledge). And so we will focus first an investigation about the concept of gesture (which, by a phenomenological bias, we understand like an materialization of the intentionality of the composer in his music): from its origin, in its conception, to the way it can be perceived, and secondly, the concept of figure (which, similarly, we believe constitute iteratively and interactively with the other figures, this musical gesture): trying to discern how the perception can grasp, separate, individuate and signify such musical elements.
