Abstract

This research aims to analyse national identitiesin three fundamental books written about Latin-American political thought, at the end of the 19th Century and beginning of the XXth. We are refering to: El porvenir de las naciones hispanoamericanas (1899), by the Mexican Francisco Bulnes (1847-1924); A América Latina: males de origem (1905), by the Brazilian Manoel Bomfim (1868-1932) and Las democracias latinas de América (1912), by the peruvian Francisco García Calderón (1883-1953). We intend to think about the circulation of ideas in Latin America and to pay attention at national particularities. (AU)
