Abstract

This research aims to analyse the technology employed to make ceramic basins which were used to prepare beverages and, later, used at the primary or secondary Guarani indians' burials at the valley of Paranapanema River. We intend to interpret, in the same way, the reasons why the graphics are present at Guarani ceramic basin. The funerary boxes, objects of study of this work, can be seen in exhibition at Museum of Archaeology (MAI), situated in Iepê City, state of São Paulo.
