Abstract

The research analyze the productive spatial circuit and the cooperation circles of the organic coffee of the small producers from Poço Fundo/MG city. The production is configured as a kind of antcommodity, which has special rates and specific ways of marketing, with high qualitative and productive differentiation with respect to the traditional coffee production. From its unique features we will be analyzed which implications of organic agriculture have in the reduction of the social, economical and territorial vulnerability degree that it is involved. Therefore, we will be examined its consequences related to the permanency of small and medium farmers in the countryside. Thus, we will identify the main producing areas of organic coffee in the Brazilian territory, which will be mapped, as well as deepen the analyses with respect to the organization of the productive spatial circuit of the organic coffee from Poço Fundo/MG city.
