Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze morphologically the primitive gut of bovine embryos from 30 to 50 days of gestation. The collection will be held on Slaughterhouses in the cities of Ribeirão Preto / SP, Pocos de Caldas, MG. The embryos will be analyzed and measured by measuring the distance from the highest point of the head at one end and the last sacral vertebra on the opposite end (Crown Rump / CR), using a caliper. Will be made to study macroscopic photographs and morphological description. For microscopic study, the material will be fixed in paraformaldehyde. After fixation, the material is dehydrated in a series of increasing concentrations of ethanols (70-100%) and cleared in xylene, followed by embedding in paraffin. Will be obtained with serial sections of 5¼m thickness with a microtome and subjected to staining by hematoxylin and eosin methods, Picrosirius, toluidine blue and periodic acid Schiff (PAS).
