Abstract

Introduction: Given the importance of the systematic reviews as a source of solutions for medical practice, the performance of this kind of research has become more frequent. Because of they are classified as secondary studies, systematic reviews require smaller financial resources, and are performed in a shorter period of time when compared to experimental studies. In this sense both, professors and students have used this methodology as a tool to compile and to assess information useful for clinical decision making and that, at the same time, is proper for publication in high impact journals. Aim: to verify the journals included in the Human Medicine and Nursing Portal of Capes which accept systematic reviews for publication providing that they comply with the Prisma, Moose or STARD check list. Method: A survey of scientific journals registered in the portal Capes. 3253 journals indicated in the category of Human Medicine and Nursing will be review, according to the last update of the portal of June 2011.
