Abstract

The matrix training is a tool whose intervention allows, in a systematic way, the training of some cells and, from that, the occurrence of recombinative generalization, that is, the recombination of smaller stimuli learn in new combinations, that is, not directly learned. Recent reviews have analyzed the use of matrix training for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) individuals and, widening the search, the use of matrix without group restriction, all the analyzed studies were in English. In order to update and expand the existing reviews, the aim of this study is to review the literature on matrix training, but this time in English and Portuguese. The search will be carried out using the platforms PubMed, ERIC, Web of Science, Scielo and Portal Periódico Capes, with the terms: "matrix training" and "recombinative generalization", "matrix strategy" and "matrix model", written in English and Portuguese. The selection of articles will be carried out through a four-step analysis and the results will be assessed according to areas that are possibly determinant for the efficacy of recombinative generalization, such as choice of skills to teach and type of training. As a result based on the results of these analyses, an educator's guide will be developed in cooperation with the supervisor and the research group at the foreign institution. (AU)
