Biological evaluation of Sealapex® and AH Plus® sealers with complete ou partial mixing.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to evaluate submucous response to AH Plus® and Sealapex® with partial or complete mixing. For the edema quantification (immediate reaction), 24 male rats, under general anesthesia will receive intravenous injection of 1% Evans Blue. After 30 minutes 0.1 ml of Sealapex ® or AH Plus® (total or partial mixing) will be injected on rats dorsum. The animals will be killed after 3 and 6 hours and samples obtained put in formamide for 72 hours. The reading will be held on spectrophotometer with 630nm wavelength for morphological analysis (delayed reaction), 20 rats receive polyethylene tube implants containing Sealapex® or AH Plus® with total or partial mixing in the dorsal region, for morphological analysis after 7 and 30 days in optic microscope.
