Abstract This project intends to analyze the comic series "Civil War", published by Marvel publisher between 2006 and 2007 according to the sociology of the myth. Using the research of Joseph Campbell, Otto Rank, and Umberto Eco, I intend to analyze the influences that the hero`s myth has on novels, from their classic origins until today`s media industry, and study the points where the historical process changes the sociology of the myth, also studying how the comics aesthetic corroborate the mythical element present in the composition of the plot and characters, understanding this research as a continuation of the sociology of myth in an XXI century comic series.(AU) | |
