Abstract

The main problem of health in sheep flocks is the tapeworm and the most important nematode is the Haemonchus contortus, a hematophagous parasite of location abomasal, high prevalence, elevated pathogenicity, and responsible for large economic losses. It is assumed that the presence of gastrointestinal helminths may alter the local acidity of the environment parasitized, to prove such a claim will be realized through physicochemical examination of the abomasal fluid of sheep with different parasitic loads. Furthermore, will also be evaluated the complete arthrogram, the plasmatic protein concentration, and coproparasitologic tests.(AU)
