Abstract

It is an offshoot of the basic internship about "Stereotypes of the Spanish language", developed in 2010 under the supervision of Professor Dr. Karim Garcia Angelica Simon, with the Gel (Study Group of the Spanish Language). However, unlike the approach taken earlier on stereotypes about language and translation of the Spanish language, this project focuses on techniques for translating texts from the Spanish daily newspaper El Pais. Our goal is to survey techniques for translation recurring, making, both, a bilingual corpus of journalistic texts extracted from the digital newspaper www.elpais.com, and their respective translations available daily on the site of UOL (www.uol.com.br), specifically focusing on the treatment given to amplification technique.(AU)
