Abstract

The work to be developed should be evaluated, specifically, the energy potential of landfill in Rio Claro from the study of temperature variation. The temperature influences the generation of landfill gas and has been proven through studies, that it depends on the depth and volume of the entire mass of waste outlet. At some points and at various depths of the landfill in Rio Claro thermoresistances will be installed to study the behavior of the temperature, which is coupled to a portable digital thermometer, making use also of a portable GPS. From these measurements, the crossing will be held with the values of flow rate and composition of the gases generated, and we can know the temperature interference in the process of generation of these gases.
