Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse and interpret the presence of the issue of black people in the poetic creation of Mário de Andrade, considering the theme in three phases: the black and mulatto in the visions of the lyrical I, both in the constitution of self lyrical I and the issue of black people guiding a political commitment of the lyrical I. The poems that guide this research are "Reconhecimento de Nêmesis" (1926), "Poemas da negra" (1929) and "Última canção de Dixie" (1944).The analysis and interpretation will be supported by texts of Genetic Criticism, Literary Theory and Criticism, as well as interdisciplinary studies into the issue of black people. It is an original proposal that contemplates, in poetic creation, that is, in art, the transfiguration of the conflicts that surround the black people in the Twentieth Century. (AU)
