Effects of acute administration of capsaicin on lactate and glycemic threshold and behavior variables in rats

Abstract

The experiment will be realized with thirty Wistar rats that will be dividied in three groups (n=10) being that each group will receive, 30 minutes before of the effort test and always by i.p. via, capsaicin (CAP, 6,0 mg.kg-1), caffeine (CAF, 5,0 mg.kg-1) as positive control or saline (0,9%) (SAL) as negative control. Will be evaluated the lactate and glycemic threshold obtained from incremental effort test performed by swimming. Futhermore, will be performed an open field behavior test to assess locomotive activity. Obtained data will be submitted on statistical analysis to enable the conclusions.
