Abstract

In Brazil, there has been a significant increase in the incidence of defects in buildings geared to income housing. The occurrence of pathologies in social housing will be the dominant point of this work. Identify what are the anomalies and how often they occur allows the establishment of preventive and corrective measures in the design, implementation, specification of materials and / or user manual, in order to prevent recurrence in other ventures. Thus, development work will be carried out quantitative surveys of the conditions present in a sample of 15 housing units in Monte Carlo, located in the city of Presidente Prudente. Through visual inspection can be observed current conditions of the post-occupied housing units, diagnosing diseases occurring in various building blocks of units, from the date of its occupation in November 2007 to the present day. The number of occurrences will be a clue that there is still much to be done in terms of quality and durability combined with low cost, the construction of housing.
