Abstract

This research aims to seek the seizure of the current debate within the Social Work, regarding the design of the area that workers have about the hegemonic project of the Social Work Profession in the last two decades, called the ethical-political project. We live in a time when we see many tensions and challenges with regard to corporate projects in dispute, that the rebate directly to the professional design above. In this sense, we see two possible moves within the category: progress toward maturity and the actual membership of a project that ultimately points to the need for social transformation, or rewind through binding to conservative designs. As the production of knowledge one of the main ways of materialization of this project is that we turn to her, looking at the papers presented in the Brazilian Congress of Social Workers of the last decade, involving the theme of the PEP, intending thereby to contribute to synthesis of elements that have been discussed in connection with this Project Professional so that we can, from these elements, read and understand the positioning of agents of the profession in this decade.
