Abstract

Introduction: Orthodontic movement for areas with edentulous atrophic demands a complex mechanical and periodontal and dental effects have not yet been clarified. Goal:The objective of this study will verify, dental models, the effects of moving permanent lower molars secondsto areas of edentulous atrophic occasioned by the loss of the first lower molars. The null hypothesis is that the mechanics gingival recessions cause not evaluated and provide improved dental angulation and inclinations of permanent teeth Ridge area neighbors Materials and methods: the experimental group (Group I) of this prospective study will consist of 15 patients with absence of first permanent molars uni or bilaterally, that will undergo orthodontic treatment with extraction of space closure. The control group (Group II) shall consist of 15 patients with absence of first permanent molars uni or bilateral basis whose orthodontic planning preserves the space edêntulo for prosthetic rehabilitation. By means of digital orthodontic models obtained before and after treatment, shall be measured the angulations, inclinations and size test-dental crowns of occlusal of permanent teeth below. Additionally, the presence of gingival recessions before and after treatment will be verified in the templates. The comparison interfases parameters to be made quantitative through the paired test. The difference of intergroups in the variables analyzed changes will be accomplished using independent t test. The comparison on frequency of recessions between pre-and post-treatment phases, and between the groups will be accomplished through Chi-square test. Is assumed the significance level of 5%.
