Abstract

It is an unfolding of a prior study of "Stereotypes of the Spanish Language" developed during the year of 2010, under the supervision of Professor Angélica Karim Garcia Simão, with G.E.L.E.(Study group of the Spanish Language). However, differently from the prior focus on the stereotypes of the language and their translation, this project turns to stereotypes called phraseologisms. Our purpose is to carry out a survey of these units in dictionaries and specialized dictionaries in the Spanish language, concerning the phraseologisms grouped in the semantic field "animal", especially the ones involving "perro"(dog, in Spanish) aiming to create an index card to each one of these phraseologisms in Spanish with its respective translation into Portuguese. The phraseological implications will also be discussed in the selected dictionaries for the analysis, as well as their consequences on the development of the index cards. (AU)
