Abstract

In this project research we will carefully examine the discussion of our doctoral thesis, starting from the subjacent question on Schelling's dialectics of imagination: Kant's concept of Idea as the base of Schelling's relation of idea, representation and ideal, which implicates a symbolical exposition. In short, starting from "Paralogisms of Pure Reason", a research on Kant's relation of idea and soul might be the starting point to the following understanding: Schelling´s dialectic of imagination is, so to speak, the conducting thread of his work as a whole, regardless of his evident incongruities. In this sense, this post-doctoral project research aims to ratify the Kantian source on Schelling's dialectics of imagination from a period before his philosophy of identity; in this case his essay on Plato's Timaeus. Therefore we will achieve the resource to acknowledge or not our interpretation on his dialectics of imagination in a period after his philosophy of identity. To this end, we throw into relief the main texts of the so-called works on freedom: "Philosophical Inquires into Essence of Human Freedom (1809)," "Stuttgart Lectures (1810)" and "Erlangen Lectures (1821)."
