Abstract The aim of this work is the comparative study of the force/volume produced by flat linear motors plans with linor of reluctance and permanent magnet. The reluctance machines despite their known limitations provide low cost and great simplicity of construction. On the other hand, permanent magnet machines have superior forces, and in some cases, the absence of undesirable attractions. In addition, the magnets can be of different alloys (Ferrite, NeFeB and SmC) that have their peculiarities such as cost, among other limiting temperatures. The determination of the forces, field density distributions and inductances will be conducted through mathematical simulation using the Finite Element Method, which is a powerful tool that does not require expensive and difficult prototype construction, and perfectly meets the requirements of the exploratory research.(AU) | |
