Abstract The purpose of this project is to study the thermodynamical properties of quantum integrable models, as the anisotropic Heisenberg chain with generalized interaction (which resembles the Dzyaloshinski-Moryia interaction) and its high-spin extension. Recently systems of similar nature have been used to describe experimental results of quasi-unidimensional spin chains. We plan to use the quantum transfer matrix approach in order to obtain a closed set of non-linear integral equations for the thermodynamics. | |
