Abstract

The National Policy on Hearing Health Care (PNASA) was established in 2004 by the Ministery of Health, through the Portaria GM / MS No. 2073 of 28/09/2004, which allowed major advances in the improvement of health actions hearing by the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). This ensured a comprehensive care to individuals with hearing disabilities and made possible the organization of services in a hierarchical regionalized and integrated network, covering the three levels of complexity of care, offering health promotion, recovery and rehabilitation, and prevention of risks and damage. Thus, this research seeks to examine the implementation of PNASA in São Paulo from the description of the service network and health professionals`s representation included on it. It is intended that this research is an inducer in the process of encouraging new studies, thus ensuring a better quality of hearing health care and health promotion.
