Abstract The trajectory of mental health and care for children in Brazil is accompanied by a historical vacuum in the field of public attention. The lack of policy guidelines to establish the care in this area was populated mostly by private institutions and / or charities that have long been the only options, creating a framework for lack of attendance, abandonment and exclusion. This project aims to meet the demand for child mental health in public health in a small city in the state of São Paulo. Through an exploratory study, intended to accompany and describe the path of these patients by the public health system, starting from the examination of records found in the Strategies for Health and Family Mental Health Clinic of the said municipality. The aim with this research, support the consolidation of child mental health care in primary care services in the paradigm of Psychosocial Care. | |
