Abstract

This research aims to discuss the collective speech present in the popular song, which I would classify as polyphonic. I will do a case study about a female Master singer of tree historical manifestations from the quilombo remainder community, Mussuca, in the Laranjeiras city, Sergipe, with a view to amplifying the dialogue between the academic and popular knowledge, the latter being one primary focus in the current institutional structure of education, aiming at improving the teaching and learning process, within the Brazilian cultural identity.
