Abstract

This project aims to analyse the articles about sex and love published in the homepage of Cosmopolitan España and Nova Cosmopolitan magazines with the objective of understanding the new intimate relationship ways of contemporaneity. According to Anthony Giddens, the therapeutic manuals and self-help books could be qualified as sociological sources to recognize the late modernity processes. Whereof Gidden´s conception, we consider the Cosmopolitan España and Nova Cosmopolitan publications, because of their counselor essence, instruments which bring the possibilities of love relationships and its associete subjectivity mechanisms perception. For this, through the identification of resemblance and disparity between the articles and theorical production of Georg Simmel, Zigmunt Bauman, Ulrick Beck and Anthony Giddens, we aim to produce a reflexion that prioritizes the comprehension of social aspects present in the contemporary subjectivity.
