Abstract

This research intends to define the relation that the work of the Prussian historian Leopold von Ranke (1795-1886) kept with the Philosophy of his age, having as reference Ranke's attack against philosophical histories and philosophies of history, specially his criticism about Hegel's historical explicatory schemes.
