Abstract

Research background on professional teaching skills is well-supplied of specialized literary archives and this subject seems to be settled in the educational researching field, including in the Physical Education's realm. Nevertheless, the students themselves have barely been regarded as the actual agents for the processes of teaching and learning, since the both of these are also claimed to produce and contact with the knowledge incoming from its remarkable qualities. At the same time, countless Brazilian state districts and towns have added official educational curriculum guides which compel us to find out how the teachers effectively deal with the proposals for the guidance curriculum on a daily basis at Physical Education classes and how, if, and which direction the curriculum changes have provided improvements for the students' learning achievement. Therefore, this research goal is to understand how the students deal with the expertise content available on the "martial arts" from CEF-SP (Physical Education Guidance Curriculum). Thus, how this content has been dynamized by the students, in a sense of how they get moving around with it and how much they yearn to learn it. This search will be developed as a case study, of qualitative nature, trying to manage how the students present and build their relationships with the martial arts skills based on theoretical reference of Charlot (2000) and using strategies of classes observations and interviews partially structured with teachers and students.
