Abstract

Objective with this study to evaluate the effect of different levels and rates of protein degradation, combined with power usage on the performance of Nelore recreated on Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu under continuous grazing during the dry season. The experiment will take place from June to November 2012 and will consist of 14 days of adaptation and three periods of 42 days each, totaling 140 days of evaluation. The treatments are: protein energy supplement with 25% CP (control), energy protein supplement with 35% CP, and 1 / 3 of the plant and PB 2 / 3 of chemical, energy protein supplement with 35% CP , and 1 / 3 of chemical origin of CP and 2 / 3 of plant origin, energy protein supplement with 35% CP, and 1 / 2 PB of chemical and 1 / 2 vegetable. Evaluations of pasture and weighing the animals will be held every 42 days, which will assess the performance of these animals and the average weights of the lot, which will be used to adjust load calculations. Samples of the grass will be used for quantitative evaluation of forage. Each period also will be estimates of consumption, degradability and ruminal parameters for better explanation of the results obtained. The experimental unit adopted is the picket, which is composed of four animals "testers." The experimental design is a randomized block experimental areas being the blocking factor. The data is analyzed using mixed model using the MIXED procedure of SAS.
