Abstract

Music has, in the field of psychosocial care, interventional several functions among the different modes of subjectivity, especially in relation to individuals who are in psychic suffer and use the mental and collective health services. In addition, the music gains a privileged space-time as a tool of intervention, a kind of "device" in mental health: a workshop. The workshops have different format, including the aim and methods that sustain them, which varies several elements and functions that take on these practices. These actions and objectives of the use of music are embedded in a context "biopolitical" as described by the French philosopher Michel Foucault, which can either be conducted in order to trigger a musical practice for the maintenance of the ways of making subjective, being devoid of subject, as they can turn it into a tool for the production of subjectivity "resistance". Through the research methodology literature and theoretical discussion of inspiration genealogical in order to trace possible paths of biopolitics, the aim is to investigate the course of music along the paradigm and approach to psychosocial care, as regards its use among power mechanisms and production ruptures with this logic. These readings will be important for the reflection of other ways to provide music and musical practices, which are directed to knowledgements and ways for people to express themselves in the world.
