Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop a technique for automatic segmentation of uncompressed video into scenes based in the technique know as Backward Shot Coherence (BSC). The proposal seeks to relace the motion vectors of BSC for other types of information, with more semantic content, more useful task of content personalizaton performed by a semiautomatic framework developed in a related project. These informations can be obtained by using Wavelets (texture and location of objects in the image) or bag of Features, which provides the latent semantic on the classification of an image. As contributions, this proposal would: provide a new technique for automatic scene segmentation, video; would make the personalization framework automatic; would provide useful semantic informations to personalization tasks of the framework.
