Abstract

This research aims to contribute to a wider project on thermal comfort in open spaces of the Campus of the UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho) in Bauru-SP, which goal is to analyze the thermal quality of the resting spaces, passage and parking lots to create design subsidies committees to energy efficiency on Campus. The research will follow the same methodology applied in other studies in Bauru about microclimatic evaluation and thermal comfort conditions. Thus, it will be monitored microclimatic conditions (air temperature, relative humidity, air velocity and global solar radiation) in different weather conditions, and calculated the thermal comfort aspects in three parking area with different types. The survey fields data will allowed analyzed microclimatic variations and thermal comfort calculated by PET index (Physiological Equivalent Temperature), in each parking lot, using the RayMan software (MATZARAKIS et al. 2000), as well as serve to compare with similar studies in other open space within this campus.
