Abstract

For many years, fairy tales have been a source of reflection for many authors. These texts, prior to psychoanalytic theories, resist the passage of time, because they approach universal themes like love and the struggle between good and evil. Dealing with issues relating to human anxieties and desires may contribute to understanding the psychological and emotional development of the subject. This work aims to reflect on how the notion of fantasy in Freud's work articulates the meaning of the stories that contribute to the emotional and psychological development of the subject. We intend to make a resumption of construction of this concept in Freud's work that allows us to reflect and understand this joint that appears in the readings of major authors such as Bethelheim, Corso and Corso, Radino, and others. To this end, will be done a study theoretical - reflective, using psychoanalysis like source theoretical and methodological. We hope that this research will contribute to discussions on psychoanalytic theory, the area of education and studies of child development, but also establish a dialogue between psychoanalytic knowledge and expressions of culture since the tales are an important cultural legacy.(AU)
