Abstract Iron and copper are possible contaminant found in fuel ethanol. The presence of ions these metals in this fuel can bring problems to vehicular engine operation. Because it, National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels - NAP - regulates the limit up permitted of these ions in fuel ethanol, and the analysis method for it determination. So, the development of alternative methods for these contaminants analysis can decrease analysis time and cost, increase detectabilit, lead to development of portable devices, and others. Thereunto, this project is proposed the electrochemical sensor able to simultaneouly determine iron and copper in fuel ethanol. This sensor will be built with carbon nanotube modifield electrode with ligand able to complexing iron and copper ions. This modification for increase electrode selectivity and detectabilit. The technical employed to determination will be stripping voltammetric adsortive. | |
