Abstract

1200 Holstein cows will be used to evaluate if the estrous cycle at the beginning of the ovulation synchronization protocol (cyclic cows) and the concentration of progesterone during the ovulation synchronization protocol (in cows without a corpus luteum) interferes on the conception by AI or ET. The protocol that will be used: D0 BE CIDR +2 ml, 5 ml Lutalyse D7, D8 Removal CIDR + ECP0.5 ml; D10 IATF or D17 TETF. At the cyclic cows will be observed the estrous before the beginning of the synchronization of ovulation protocol and at the cows without corpus luteum, at the beginning of the protocol, the animals will be synchronized with one or two intravaginal progesterone devices.
