Abstract

The Forest of the Quilombo, located in Barão Geraldo, in Campinas /SP, a fragment is highly susceptible to impacts caused by fire, vandalism, garbage disposal, hunting ground of the few remaining animals and especially subject to pressure real estate. Little attention has been given to the preservation and management of this remnant, which is in a private area and is practically abandoned. In this context the present study aims to evaluate the changes occurring in relation to soil fauna resulting from the replacement of natural vegetation for pasture and sugar cane in order to contribute to the discussion of subsequent recovery programs and to evaluate, by means of staying or absence of lichens, which are bio-indicators of pollution, the quality of atmospheric air in the remaining urban forest, Forest of Quilombo, the city of Campinas/SP. The elements considered and analyzed to achieve the proposed objective for this work consists of: characterization of the study area, collection and identification of taxonomic groups they belong to the invertebrate fauna and analysis of the distribution of lichen species in the surrounding forest. The sampling procedure will be performed according to the method of trapping "pitfall traps" (Oliveira, 2000; AQUINO, apud CATANOZI 2001, 2010) for the purpose of invertebrates sampled for each area/location study. To this end, settled three areas: remnant forest, sugar cane and pasture where segments are plotted in cross section which were distributed collection points, equidistant 10 m. (AU)
