In Brazil, a significant part of the national economy resources comes from agricultural production. Therefore, crop analysis and monitoring have become an important task to many researches. In addition, sugarcane crops are the main source for ethanol production. In this context, remote sensing data, such as satellite images, has been used to monitoring sugarcane crops. In this project, we aim at applying and developing data mining techniques to analyze NDVI time series obtained from NOAA-AVHRR satellite images. As a result, we expect to find useful patterns in NDVI time series data in order to assist the specialists in monitoring sugarcane crops.
