Abstract

The aim of the project is to contribute to the economic sociology, showing how the economic concepts are historically and culturally situated and should be treated as the result of cultural and political disputes across societies. To do so, I construct an empirical space from two recent debates in Brazilian society: one around the regulations of the law of the financial system in 2003 and one that continues today around the interpretations and actions reported by the international financial crisis.
