Abstract

In this project, we will study the two-stage capacitated facility location problem (TSCLP) under the natural disaster operations management view. The main objective of this problem is to determine the location of shelters and the distribution of survival commodities to disaster-affected victims. Because of the wide variety of possible disaster types and magnitudes, the deterministic model will be extended to consider different sources of uncertainty, such as capacities, demands, and costs. In order to deal with data uncertainty, a scenario-based stochastic programming approach will be proposed. The deterministic and stochastic models will be coded in GAMS language and solved by CPLEX 12 solver.(AU)
