Abstract

In the last couple of years, works that were developed at the Integrated Automation and Robotics Laboratory (LAIR) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FEM) at Unicamp presented elevated experimental validation, allowing infrastructure expansion and developments of new projects. This project of scientific initiation (IC) intends to discuss the integration of an industrial mobile robot with a robotic manipulator to perform in structured manufacturing environments. The studying stages will contemplate a manufacturing system planning, the implementation of a mobile robot platform and its integration at the industrial environment, using industrial automation concepts, control system and sensorial fusion. The validation of the proposed methodology in this research project will be accomplished through a case study that illustrates structured industrial environments for robots, calculating and predicting real-life situations in this context. The mobile robot platform that will be used is ROBOTINO®, produced by the German company FESTO®, along with a three degrees of freedom manipulator robot implemented in laboratory. With the integration of the structured environment, there will be conducted several studies that requires the use of knowledge that have been acquired by the student in the course of Automation and Control Engineering at Unicamp.
