Abstract

The purpose of the study will be investigate the hypothesis that the heat treatment (annealing), glazy and thermomechanical aging affect the values of flexural strength of a glass-ceramic. Forty-eight ceramic bars (1.2x4x20mm) (VM7 VITA Zahnfabrik), will be subject to four conditions: Group C (control) without treatment, Group A: Anneling, Group G: Glaze and Group AG: Association anneling and glaze. After storage (distilled water / seven days at 37 ° C), half of the samples are subjected to thermomechanical aging process. Subsequently each sample will be taken to the testing device, which is engaged in a universal testing machine (EMIC) with load cell 10Kgf, speed of 1.0 mm / min and tested on 3-point mechanical bending. The data will be subjected to statistical analysis. (AU)
