Abstract

Personal archives are now even more in evidence and under discussion between scholars and professionals of the archiving sector. Contributing to the growing discussion, we intend to investigate the personal archive of Epifânio da Fonseca Dória e Menezes, relationship with their life's trajectory. The mentioned archive is in three important institutions from Sergipe: The Historical and Geographical institute of Sergipe, the Public Archive of the State of Sergipe and the Public State Library Epifânio Dória. The research will contribute to the development of a methodology of work with personal archives, as it will also deepen, on the basis of the documentation, itself of Epifânio Dória's biography. (AU)
