Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to explore the potential of the nacre concept to produce advanced fibercement. Samples will be produced in laboratory conditions designed to emulate the Hatschek process. Layers of polymeric emulsion EVA will be intercalated between the fibercement layers. Mechanical properties and shrinkage of nacre-like fibercement will be compared with those of conventional fibercement reinforced (AU)
