Abstract

The following activities will be developed for this work: an update of the literature, trials, collection of material, material handling, laboratory activities, statistical analysis, report writing, conclusion, in which should be covered all aspects required in the methodology of the research. To this end, the collect of material will be processed in slaughterhouses in Araçatuba, using adult and half-breed animals of various races, with various and unknown ages. After being isolated the hearts will be identified, measured and weighed in order to analyze the parameters proportionally: size and weight of the animal, the heart and trabecula. These data will be analyzed statistically. In some organs, the septomarginal trabecula will be measured in length and thickness. Fragments of trabecula will be collected for a conventional histological analysis. (AU)
