Abstract

The purpose of this study is the development of an automatic method for identifying and measuring the area without corneal epithelium caused by ulcers. For the project, we propose the development of programs based on digital image processing and artificial intelligence techniques. The goal is to provide ophthalmologists with information about the affected area and contour of the lesion in order to assist in the analysis of their development. The software will be based on Delphi IDE that, which not only allows the capture of digital images but also is an effective tool for developing an application that integrates techniques of digital image processing and artificial intelligence, providing an efficient visual platform for physicians even if they are not programming experts.(AU)
