Abstract

A broiler breeder trial will be conducted with the aim of evaluating the effects of maternal diets on progeny. Three hundred birds, 40 weeks of age, will be randomly assigned in a factorial design 2X3 (two levels of phytase inclusion: 0 and 500 FTU, and three levels of available phosphorus: 0,1%; 0,2%; 0,3%) with 10 replications per treatment. Characteristics will be examined: performance, fertility, and hatchability. Hens will be inseminated before eggs were collected at 45 weeks of age.(AU)
