Abstract

By means of bibliometric studies, we aim at analyzing the scientific production which approaches the theme "Social Networks", presented by the GT7 team in the Research National Meetings of the National Association of Research and Information Science Post Graduation - ENANCIB - held in the last 5 years (2007 to 2011), in order to evidence its main scientific characters. To do so, all the works which approach the "Social Network" theme in the event will be selected by means of searching the works that deal with the themes "scientific cooperation network" , "social network", "co-authorship network", "co-citation network", "citation network", or others which approach the studied theme. From the collected data, the most productive authors will be identified, in order to indicate the authors of greatest impact and insertion in the "Social Network" theme. Moreover, the scientific cooperation network will be built from the works produced in co-authorship. The degree centrality of the researchers will be calculated, enabling a qualitative analysis of these researchers in the network.(AU)
