Abstract

Education and empowerment of people with special educational needs (SEN) for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training require skills not yet acquired by the individual, since they are being made by a mediator. So to suggest that the training is implemented effectively it is necessary to use resources and materials practical and plausible, according to the specific characteristics of each individual. Therefore, this study aims at teaching the practice facilities for adults with intellectual disabilities through educational software aimed at improving the functional performance of ADLs, in order to expand the encouragement and maintenance of autonomy and independence, and contribute to the development of self-care and personal hygiene of the participants. To this end, the intervention has the Educational Software "How good ...", which is a platform for interaction between sounds and images of the resources used during the bath, which illustrates in a practical and dynamic these steps based on the analysis of behavior. For the data, the collection procedure will be used based on an observational scale registration during training and execution of the commands of the activity of the bath. Data analysis will be done considering the quantitative and qualitative aspects that influence the development of students' skills in a functional way, as well as the applicability of the software used for training and teaching practice facilities to participants. Therefore, it is expected that as the specifics of each participant, the training facilities can be deployed via software developing skills not yet acquired by the participants, enabling the higher the autonomy and independence.(AU)
