Abstract

The filamentous fungus Trichoderma reesei has celobioidrolases enzymes that degrade cellulose and enzymes superoxide dismutases (SOD) that protects the body against the harmful effect of reactive oxygen species (ROS). The exo-enzymes present celobioidrolasas beyond the active center a "cellulose-binding domain" (CBD, cellulose binding domain) that allows its binding to the molecule substrate (cellulose). The proposal to construct the recombinant protein chimeras formed by fusing the "cellulose binding domain" of the enzyme celobioidrolase I (CBHI) with the enzyme superoxide dismutase, both proteins from T. reesei, purify and to assess the biological activity of the fusion protein. SOD is used in the treatment of acute or chronic inflammation, a chimeric protein CBD-SOD could be used for therapeutic purposes, products using as a matrix to support the cellulose molecule.(AU)
