Abstract

This project intended to analyze the language and collective political identities in dispute in the public scene that involved moments of setting and implementing the project of independence of Brazil. Both are historical dimensions follow that a similar dynamic: they are the product of struggle and of political ideas, but at the same time produce the same simultaneously .In order to explore the discursive field available to participants of public debate that is designed to independence, this research will build on printed documentation varied (periodicals, pamphlets, manifestos, memoirs, parliamentary debates, letters, official documents, dictionaries, etc.) circulation in the universes Reinol politicians, especially on the Cortes of Lisbon and lusoamericano, particularly in Pernambuco, Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, between the years 1820 and 1823. This paper presents as a hypothesis that the defense project of autonomy or political emancipation in these provincial spaces arising in the course of constitutional movement were built in the formulation of narratives about the historical process of differentiating articulating political languages common to the public stage to define conflicting action projects.
