Abstract

The trajectory of domestic workers has been the subject of several papers in the area of Social Sciences, with greater focus on its relationship to gender and racial issues. The experience of slavery left trace in social work as domestic employment. The purpose of this research is to study the issue of domestic employment under the eye of History and Anthropology in the city of Marilia (SP), so that the study of economic and social changes combined with anethnographic study of home environments to assess the relationship between employers and employees of the city, allowing to identify continuities and intermittency in the family project.
